Storhode's Northern Current ("Current", WS38719503)8/25/2011 - Current is one of three girls born to Storhode's Sweet Cranberry Kloofbear ("Greta", WS28098002). Her sire is Ch. Kiredor's Trading Paint, ("Parker", WS28036902). Current lives about 5 miles from me, so I have been able to see her as she grew from a sweet little cuddle toy into the impressively elegant girl she is now. When I first told our vet that her name was "Current", he thought a second, then said "Her person must be an electrician or a mariner". In fact, he is a marine biologist who works often on the Salish Sea. (I thought he could also have been a newspaper man or a berry farmer). Current has OFA Fair hips, OFA normal elbows, is cardiac cleared by a veterinary cardiologist, and is cystinuria clear by mode of inheritance. She has had no health concerns beyond a minor ear infection. You can see her clearances and pedigree on the OFA website. At about 120 pounds, she is rather tall and long, like her mother Greta. She moves in an effortless, floating way. She is calm, loving and devoted to her family. She gets along with both people and other dogs (as when she comes to visit with my 'home dogs' and at Newfie Play Dates at the local beach). With her loving disposition I expect her to love being a Mama. (I have my fingers crossed for a litter in the spring of 2018)
